Patient Registrar Evenings

Full‑Time Evening Shift Mon, Wed, Fri and rotating weekends 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Join HCA Florida Brandon Hospital as a Patient Registrar and handle patient registration with care and accuracy. You will interview patients for essential account information, verify insurance coverage, and support the hospital’s revenue cycle. Job Summary As a Registrar, you will be responsible for timely and accurate patient registration, interview patients for all pertinent account and insurance information, and ensure charts are completed and accurate. Job Responsibilities Interview patients at workstations or bedside to obtain all necessary account information and complete bedside registration using carts/computers on wheels. Provide exemplary customer service. Ensure all charts are completed and accurate. Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre‑certification/authorization. Calculate and collect patient liability amounts. Ensure all necessary signatures for treatment are obtained. Process patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards. Interview incoming patients, relatives, and other responsible individuals to obtain identifying and demographic information, insurance, and financial information. Assign Insurance Plans accurately. Verify insurance benefits and determine pre‑certification/authorization status via online resources or other means; initiate necessary actions and enter all information into the registration system. Secure all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services from legally responsible parties. Explain policies regarding services, pricing, insurance billing, and payment of accounts. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
