CNC/Manual Machine Setup and Operations Specialist

• Do you read blueprints with ease and translate them into accurate parts?
• Are you confident setting up both CNC and manual machines to tight tolerances?
• Can you optimize speeds, feeds, and coolant to hit schedule targets?
• Do you spot out-of-tolerance conditions quickly and correct them on the fly?
• Are safety, cleanliness, and tool care part of your routine?

What you’ll handle

• Processing parts to blueprint and specification while meeting routed hours.
• Setting up, adjusting, and efficiently operating machine tools for close/exact tolerances.
• Selecting and securing fixtures, tooling, attachments, accessories, and materials.
• Inspecting and maintaining cutting tools for sharpness and performance.
• Programming/setting controls for speed, feed, and coolant flow.
• Starting and observing operations; diagnosing malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and making adjustments.
• Cleaning and maintaining tooling and parts to keep equipment production-ready.
• Editing programs to fine tune processes for optimal results.
• Maintaining a safe, orderly, and clean work area.
• Pitching in with other duties as needed.

Must-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training preferred).
• Ability to set up and run manual machine equipment.
• Forklift and overhead crane operation; use of precision measuring instruments; basic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written).
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management to meet deadlines.

• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally; over 50 lbs requires two people or a lifting device.
