The Patient Service Representative facilitates scheduled outpatient services and programs while ensuring accurate patient registration, financial collection, appointment coordination, and clerical support. This day-shift role works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and supports patients through admission, discharge, scheduling, insurance verification, and high-volume phone interactions, typically handling 51–100 calls per day.

Responsibilities

• Complete and verify patient registration information and financial data.
• Facilitate patient admission and discharge processes.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
• Confirm appointments and provide appropriate patient instructions.
• Collect patient financial responsibility and perform insurance verification.
• Answer patient phone calls and questions, handling approximately 51–100 calls daily.
• Maintain current patient files and information.
• Enter status changes in the computer and provide clerical support.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in patient access services.
• Experience with Epic, patient registration, medical scheduling, insurance verification, healthcare revenue cycle, or electronic health records.
• Experience supporting a high volume of phone calls.
• Experience scheduling radiology appointments.
• Strong customer service skills.
