Eurofins Environment Testing Southwest seeks a Chemist I to perform analytical testing on environmental samples using ion chromatography and HPLC instrumentation. The role involves sample preparation, instrument operation, data review, and maintenance of laboratory records in compliance with EPA protocols and company quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze environmental samples using Ion Chromatography and HPLC following EPA protocols
- Prepare standards and reagents; prepare soil samples using DI LEACH TOT method
- Filter and load water samples onto instruments; review chromatograms and address QC failures
- Perform equipment calibrations and maintenance on analytical balances and pipettes
- Monitor sample backlog, schedule testing activities, and maintain accurate laboratory records
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, or 3 years laboratory analytical experience
- Ion Chromatography or HPLC experience preferred
- Knowledge of EPA Methods preferred
- Experience in fast-paced production laboratory environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Authorized to work in United States without sponsorship
- Professional English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking
Compensation: $18-$22 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
