Pay Rate: $24/Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to provide front- and back-office support in a patient-focused healthcare environment. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, scheduling, documentation, and general administrative duties while working collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff.

The ideal candidate will have strong patient-care skills, experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR systems , excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to health education and patient outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs and relevant clinical information.
• Schedule appointments and assist with front-office administrative tasks.
• Answer and direct patient phone calls and inquiries.
• Perform blood draws and venipuncture as required.
• Administer vaccines in accordance with established clinical protocols.
• Assist providers and clinical staff with patient-care activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the EMR system.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate clinical supplies.
• Support both front-office and back-office operations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding routine clinical and administrative matters.
• Maintain a collaborative working relationship with physicians, nurses, and other staff.
• Follow established healthcare, safety, infection-control, and confidentiality procedures.
• Support health education and community outreach initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience , excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant certification is strongly preferred .
• Demonstrated experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture is required.
• Previous experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is required.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with patients.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Interest in health education, patient outreach, and community-focused care.
