General Ledger Accountant

Overview The General Ledger Manager is responsible for reporting of Daily Cash and the review of daily banking activity. Duties also include preparation and review of accounting entries and general ledger detail for financial statement preparation. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). Responsibilities Review Daily Cash Reports Review and post journal entries, making sure account coding is correct. Review balance sheet reconciliations, making sure that items are in proper accounts and accruals are calculated correctly. Upload and/or approve reconciliations in Black Line Review bank reconciliations, making sure that General Ledger coincides with bank; check reconciling items for reasonability. Prepare closing schedule each month and ensure that all departments are prompt in submitting all information to close the books each month. Balance inter-company accounts. Make sure all charges are exchanged properly. Review trial balance each month. Prepare Business Licenses for individual outlets. Generate month-end reports, including balance sheet, income statement and board book. Handle special projects on "as needed" basis. Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise and assist Senior(s) and GL Accountant(s). Qualifications Ability to operate office equipment. Ability to create spreadsheets and other financial reports. Excellent analytical, problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), fluent English and ability to articulate. Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results. Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required. Minimum age requirement is 21. Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Previous General Ledger experience. Must possess basic mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide specific to position responsibilities. Ability to read and understand all policies and procedures. Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, and members of management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities. Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.
