Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves supporting healthcare providers by managing patient care tasks and ensuring smooth clinical operations tailored to the needs of the practice. Essential Responsibilities:
Work Shift: 8:00am - 4:30pm, 40 hours per week. This opportunity is located in a welcoming healthcare environment serving the Midwest region of the United States.
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to patient phone inquiries, triaging as necessary while offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education.
- Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records.
- Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications and logs.
- Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring proper consents are obtained for invasive procedures and immunizations.
- Distribute educational materials and support patient comprehension regarding treatments and medication usage.
- Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program.
