Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant ICU RN - $32-48 per hour

Overview Division 7800 ICU is an oncology‑designated 25‑bed Intensive Care Unit. Ten beds are dedicated to oncology and bone marrow transplant patients. The unit provides care to critically ill patients with oncology or bone marrow transplant diagnoses and to patients who have undergone surgical interventions requiring ICU care. Care is coordinated by a multidisciplinary team that includes oncology nurses, attending physicians, fellows, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, case managers, social workers, spiritual care providers, pharmacists and psycho‑social support staff. Additional Information Part‑time; nights (days available with 5+ years ICU experience). Benefits eligible. Unit 7800 located in Parkview Tower on BJH North Campus. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on illness management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintains a constant state of alertness and works safely as required for this safety‑sensitive position.
