Based in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.Position Overview:The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.The Project Engineer will collaborate with Task Order 60 (TO60) Leadership to manage, coordinate, and supervise the efforts of the cross-Agile Release Train and the Cross-Functional Product Team related to TO60 projects, contract proposals, and modifications.Essential Functions:Will support planning and execution of technical scope, schedule, and cost inputsWill support the development of TO60 objectives, monitor collection capability status and tracking, and facilitate cross-functional area coordination, along with schedule and resource issue resolutionWill serve as the primary liaison between the TO60 Solution Chief/Program Manager and the Project Engineer TeamImplement standardized processes and products for project managementSupport project engineers in their internal and external working groupsSupport TO60 program meetings and develop status briefings as neededServe as the lead liaison between the project engineering team and the customer counterpartsSupport the Solution Chief in increment planningEnforce rigor in Jira capability development and in feature trackingWide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field, and provides imaginative, thorough solutions to a wide range of difficult problemsWorks under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion to assess adequacy in meeting objectivesFrequent contact with internal and external customers and representation of the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projectsBasic Qualifications:Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited university, along with 12 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 10 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with 8 years of relevant work experienceApplicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to startWillingness to travel 10% of the time for business needsExperience in project planning, cost control, scheduling, and performance managementPrior experience in developing programs and executing deploymentsMust know Planning, Scheduling, Project Management, and EVMSMust know Systems Engineering, Software Development, and DeploymentExperienced in developing and managing project teams and schedulesExperience in the Development Lifecycle and knowledge of Spiral Development processesProven leadership abilities to manage, coordinate, and oversee cross-functional efforts across the Sustainment and Development lifecycle managementExperience with project planning, cost, schedule & performanceWhat We Can Offer You:Northrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment that encourages your growth, benefiting both employees and the company. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
