Imagine stepping into a role where your passion for communication sparks transformation literally! As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of North Carolina's charming communities, you will do more than treat communication and swallowing disorders; you will unlock potential, restore confidence, and forge meaningful connections from little ones uttering their first words to seniors regaining their sense of autonomy.
This position is a dynamic opportunity to provide support to a diverse population across different ages in an environment that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient responsibilities. Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups through a blend of standardized assessments and observational methods.
Devise individualized treatment plans that focus on short and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Work in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish unified care strategies.
Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.
Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and provide interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care throughout the therapeutic journey.
Document patient progress accurately and promptly, adhering to all state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
Commit to continuous professional growth by staying abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for those not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods catering to all ages, complemented by a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Strong interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Ability to customize therapy approaches that consider various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Sound clinical judgment combined with astute problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and precise documentation practices.
Competitive remuneration reflective of experience.
Flexible work schedules promoting a healthy work-life balance and diverse caseloads.
Opportunities to specialize in areas such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offerings.
Support for continuing education expenses and professional development.
A collaborative team-based environment prioritizing quality care and lifelong learning.

You will collaborate with colleagues who view each other as family, fostering a culture rooted in teamwork over competition. Every patient you encounter carries a unique story; we trust you to help shape their narrative.
