Role Highlights

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Create tailored treatment programs aimed at short-term objectives while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement individualized speech therapy techniques centered on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing improvements.
• Team up with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop seamless care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to enhance progress beyond the confines of clinical interactions.
• Assist with periodic inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a holistic approach to care throughout the healing journey.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and organizational standards.
• Stay engaged with the latest practices in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Required Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
