Senior Manager, Data Governance
Position Overview
The Senior Manager of Data Governance will lead the strategy, framework, and operational execution of Encore's Enterprise Data Governance program, enabling trusted, compliant, and high-quality data across all event, labor, and revenue systems. This role ensures that Encore's Microsoft Fabric ecosystem - including Purview, Power BI, and OneLake - operates within clearly defined governance standards & data stewardship practices. The Senior Manager will partner with business and technology leaders to embed governance into daily operations, driving improved data confidence, compliance, and value realization across the Data & Event Services lifecycle. As a people leader, this role will develop and mentor a team of data stewards and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, literacy, and continuous improvement in how data is defined, maintained, and used across domains.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or analytics, including 3+ years in leadership or stewardship enablement roles. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Purview, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, OneLake). Proven ability to build and operationalize governance frameworks within enterprise-scale environments. Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and data lineage principles. Excellent collaboration and communication skills - able to influence business and technical stakeholders. Experience in Event Services, Hospitality, or Workforce Management environments. Familiarity with data cataloging, certification, and ownership workflows in Fabric and Purview. Working knowledge of AI governance and data readiness for ML/AI model development. Strong presentation skills for executive steering and governance councils.
Work Environment
Office Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
