Accounts Receivable Associate

Accounts Receivable Associate $18‑$22 per hour | Albuquerque, NM | On-site | Consulting About the Role We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly‑motivated Consulting Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance department. The role is integral to our financial health and success, requiring a minimum of five years’ experience in collections and a strong focus on billing, collections, customer service, and reporting. Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and customer service. Actively pursue recovery of overdue payments using effective and professional communication and negotiation skills. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer data, ensuring all billing and payment information is correctly inputted and managed. Prepare and present detailed reports on accounts receivable status, highlighting any issues or concerns for management review. Collaborate with the sales and customer service departments to resolve billing disputes and negotiate payment plans. Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Continuously assess and improve accounts receivable processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy. Provide financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate payment of accounts. Qualifications A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on collections. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively resolve conflicts and disputes. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues impacting accounts receivable. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with experience in accounting software and databases. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors. Strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures, with the ability to ensure compliance. Proactive and self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
