General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator

HCA Healthcare is seeking a General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator to support our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide hands-on clinical nursing care to adult general medicine patients while coordinating daily unit operations to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered services. You will act as a clinical resource and liaison among physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members, helping to align patient care with HCA Healthcare’s high standards for quality, safety, and service.

As a General Medicine Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will oversee patient flow on the unit, including admissions, discharges, and transfers, to support optimal bed utilization and continuity of care. You will participate in patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patient responses, escalating changes in condition as needed. You will help guide nursing staff in clinical decision-making, promote adherence to evidence-based practices, and support compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

You will assist in precepting and mentoring new nurses and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability. In partnership with nurse leaders and physicians, you will help identify opportunities for process improvement, contribute to quality and safety initiatives, and participate in data collection and reporting when needed. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as you will regularly coordinate with providers, therapists, case managers, and families to ensure clear, compassionate, and thorough communication regarding patient plans of care.
