Job Description

The CNC Machinist/Operator is responsible for making precision-machined parts by setting up and operating a CNC Machine per work instructions and blueprints.  Parts are typically made from aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel.

Duties:

• Run and inspect first article; verifying by use of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, plus gauges, height gauges, dial indicators, protractors, etc.
• Run production volumes while managing machine operation to detect defects or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjusts machine controls as required.
• Produce quality parts that adhere to production and quality standards.
• Participate in preventative maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned

Work Requirements:

• 3 years' experience in operation and setup of Vertical Mill, Horizontal Mill, and/or Lathe.
• General knowledge of G-Code, blueprint reading and inspection tools.
• Capable of using c forklift and crane.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion.
• A strong work ethic.  A willingness to learn, A commitment to safety.

Education Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience or completion/graduation from a trade school.
