Job Description
This role focuses on assembling custom mechanical equipment using hand and power tools in a clean, stable shop environment. You will work from schematics and drawings to pull and pick components, assemble equipment, and support the build of projects that vary from day to day. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working on non-repetitive custom builds, and contributing to high-quality mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Pull and pick mechanical components and parts from inventory to support assembly work.
- Assemble mechanical equipment using hand tools and power tools, including wrenches and screwdrivers.
- Build custom projects and assemblies based on what welders and other team members have fabricated.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings to complete assemblies accurately.
- Apply silicone and other sealants as needed during the assembly process.
- Perform cutting and stripping of wires as part of control panel and equipment assembly, while not performing full electrical work.
- Assemble and wire control panels and related mechanical components as required by the project.
- Troubleshoot issues during assembly and adjust or rework components to meet specifications.
- Work on different products and projects each day, adapting to changing priorities and tasks.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and follows safety procedures within the shop.
- Collaborate with welders and other shop personnel to complete custom equipment builds.
- Maintain an organized workstation and handle tools and materials with care.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably with custom equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
- Experience using power tools in a mechanical assembly environment.
- in panel wiring and control panel assembly.
- Familiarity with electrical wiring and basic electrical assembly tasks such as cutting and stripping wires.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and resolve build issues.
- Comfort working on non-repetitive, custom projects rather than line or repetitive assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Work Environment
The role is based in a very clean shop environment with a focus on safety and organization. Typical shift hours are approximately 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with voluntary overtime available on Saturdays. You will primarily work while seated at a dedicated workstation, using hand tools, power tools, and equipment for mechanical and light electrical assembly. The facility maintains a stable workload and brings a significant volume of work into this location, contributing to job stability and consistent scheduling. Dress expectations align with a typical shop environment, emphasizing safety and practicality while working around mechanical and assembly equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48880.00 - $52000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
