Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
- Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Perform tolerance analysis, GD&T, and detailed component drawings.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate designs and improve performance.
- Lead projects from concept, prototyping, testing, and final production.
- Optimize machine designs for manufacturability, quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Work closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Manage project timelines to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Ensure designs comply with ASME codes and industry standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, AutoCAD, or comparable 3D CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical drafting.
- Experience with machine design and mechanical system integration.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly.
- Experience performing FEA and engineering simulations.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Industrial or manufacturing engineering experience is highly preferred.
