Member Services & Administrative Support Specialist
We are partnering with a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization to hire a detail-oriented and customer-focused Member Services & Administrative Support Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, supporting members, and handling a mix of administrative and communications tasks in a mission-driven environment.
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $24–$28 per hour
Duration: Ongoing temporary opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls from members and provide timely, professional support
- Respond to member emails and inquiries with accuracy and clarity
- Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure member satisfaction and issue resolution
- Process membership dues payments using the Association Management System (AMS)
- Handle payments received through lockbox and e-fax systems
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented
- Update member profiles, including address and email changes
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency within the membership database
- Perform routine data entry and record verification tasks
Required Qualifications
- Experience with database systems or Association Management Systems (AMS) preferred
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Comfortable using multiple software platforms and online systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in membership services, customer support, or administrative roles
- Familiarity with payment processing systems or financial data entry
- Experience working with nonprofits or association environments is a plus
