Regional Security Services Specialist

Overview Capital Group is seeking a Regional Security Specialist to implement and support the global safety and security strategy within assigned regions. The role is fully onsite, based primarily at the Los Angeles Office (LAO) and will serve as an embedded member of the Safety & Security team five days per week. Responsibilities Provide on‑site security support and manage day‑to‑day security operations in LAO and secondary coverage for LAO West and Irvine. Act as the trusted onsite security lead for sensitive, escalated, or high‑risk situations. Oversee and manage security contractors, external relationships, office safety and security operations, and security incident response. Manage internal casework and investigations related to workplace violence, threats, theft, and fraud cases. Respond to and manage workplace violence concerns, threat‑related incidents, employee terminations, medical incidents, and emergency response situations. Build and maintain strong working relationships with HR, Workplace Experience, Legal, the Executive Office, and Site Operations. Support executive protection needs in alignment with Global Safety & Security protocols. Support the associate travel security program and partner with vendors that provide global visibility and intelligence. Deliver travel safety briefings, conduct risk assessments, and respond to travel‑related concerns affecting associates and senior leaders globally. Conduct event security risk assessments and provide onsite event support to ensure the safety and security of associates, meeting attendees, and Capital Group’s reputation. Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and calm decision‑making in high‑pressure scenarios. Represent Capital Group’s culture, values, and professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications Minimum of 7+ years in a corporate security role or government role with a focus on executive protection, program management, security operations, travel safety and security, and event/incident monitoring and reporting. Federal law enforcement experience and ability to work on‑call with willingness to react to emergencies 24/7. Experience in incident response, crisis management, training, workplace violence, and internal investigations with the ability to maintain control under stressful situations. Professional international travel experience and knowledge of current and emerging policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting the business and security function. Proficiency in security system management, including intermediate system architecture and advanced knowledge of operational functions and security best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an effective presenter in both group and individual settings. Strong relationship management and the ability to independently advise on a wide range of issues. Ability to manage deliverables independently with a high degree of efficiency and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Background in executive protection, law enforcement, or comparable corporate security roles. Demonstrated experience managing high‑discretion and high‑risk situations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across functions. Proven ability to operate independently with minimal oversight. Excellent communication, de‑escalation, and conflict‑resolution skills. High level of integrity and ability to manage confidential information appropriately. Flexibility to support multiple locations and evolving business needs. Valid California license to carry a firearm (preferred). Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $125,909–$201,454 (LosAngeles, CA). Eligible for individual annual performance bonus, Capital’s annual profitability bonus, and a retirement plan with a 15% employer contribution to eligible earnings.
