Enhance your expertise in SAP and financial analysis.Job DescriptionManager, Accounting OverviewThe Manager, Accounting oversees journal entries, cost analysis, and reconciliations for assigned business areas, ensuring accurate financial reporting and operational alignment.Collaborates with Operations and Finance teams to analyze variances, develop budgets, and maintain fixed asset records using SAP modules.Ensures compliance with accounting policies, Sarbanes-Oxley documentation, and quality systems, contributing to organizational financial integrity.Provides critical financial insights to senior management, operational departments, and external auditors during interim and year-end audits.Supports the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, maintaining accurate and updated financial data.Handles confidential information responsibly, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.Utilizes independent judgment in day-to-day decisions, escalating critical issues to senior management as needed.Meets financial reporting deadlines, occasionally requiring after-hours work during month-end and year-end close.Contributes to the organization's success by ensuring compliance with quality assurance and environmental health standards.Manager, Accounting Key Responsibilities & DutiesPost monthly journal entries and analyze cost variances for assigned business areas.Prepare variance analyses and investigate unusual fluctuations in financial results.Interface with operational departments to summarize financial impacts and provide insights.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and addressing discrepancies.Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts, maintaining data accuracy in financial systems.Maintain fixed asset records within SAP Fixed Asset module and ensure proper documentation.Collaborate with external auditors, providing requested schedules during audits.Document policies, procedures, and controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.Ensure compliance with quality systems and organizational standards in all financial activities.Manager, Accounting Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.7-10 years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles.Proficiency in SAP or other Tier I ERP systems, Excel, and Word.Strong analytical abilities and financial detail orientation.Experience in manufacturing preferred but not mandatory.CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.Excellent communication skills for interfacing with senior management and external auditors.Ability to meet strict financial reporting deadlines, including occasional overtime.Commitment to compliance with quality assurance and environmental health standards.
