ARL has been offering analytical testing services for 23 years. This is an excellent entry-level position for individuals who love science and who wish to gain valuable experience and cultivate industry knowledge and skills in a third-party laboratory industry.Job ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Clean and sterilize laboratory workspace and equipment.Provide support for lab-specific waste management.Maintain proper laboratory records.Maintain laboratory cleanliness at all times.Accountable and responsible for proper laboratory practices.Compliance with ARL standards and policiesPerform all duties and projects, as assigned by ARL leadershipComply with ALL ARL workplace policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.Adhere to all GLP, GMP, and ISO regulations as they pertain to the position’s functions and duties.Successfully complete all training, including skills and proficiency testing, within required timeframe.Complete special project as assigned.Job Requirements And Expectations:Able to converse fluently in English, verbally and in writing.Be able to lift at least 50lbs.Able to work within a schedule that allows for testing to be completed and reported on time.Available to work 5 days a week, if required.Available to work weekends.Abide by ARL’s drug testing, background check, and drug-free policies.Follow work schedule and attendance/time off requirements.Comply with ARL’s values and workplace policiesCommunicate professionally with team members and leadership to resolve any issues.Contribute to a positive and ethical work environment.Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.Follow established and proper procedure for conflict resolution.Able to handle fast-paced, high-pressured work demands with confidence and professionalism.Demonstrate success in being a team player.Successful completion of all proficiency testing, administrative and HR trainings, and onboarding procedures.Reports To:Team LeadLab ManagerExpectations and Requirements:Be technologically savvyBe able to learn LIMS systems and protocols rapidlyBe able to accurately enter data and process samples accuratelyBe able to carry objects up to 50 lbsBe able to communicate in English fluently and proficiently, in writing and orallyBe able to work in a high pressured environment where time is of the essenceBe able to comply with all processing protocols and follow directions accuratelyBe able to work productively and efficiently in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsBe willing to work unpredictable hours, whenever necessaryBe able to work collaboratively with team members across departmentsBe able to drive ARL vehicles for job duties (must have valid driver's license and good driving record)Be able to pass drug testing and background checkBe able to execute and demonstrate ARL's valuesBe able to understand and use general mathematicsBe able to communicate proficiently verbally and in writing in EnglishBe able to organize and pay attention to detailBe willing to wear personal protective equipment provided and required by ARLEducation: Completed high school diplomaLife Science, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry or related background and laboratory experience preferredCompensation commensurates with experience.
