Maintenance Supervisor - 1st Shift

Position Overview As part of the talented Maintenance team, the Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a group of skilled tradesmen, as well as support personnel and assign work while meeting safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. The supervisor recommends and executes improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions through listening, engaging employees and problem solving. They act as the company conduit for employee communications to keep employees abreast of news and information. Brunswick has a passion for the work and a distinct ability to deliver. Essential Functions Own the four main metrics (safety, quality, delivery, productivity/people) – understand results and implement action plans to close gaps and meet targets. Support manufacturing in assigning, supporting, and troubleshooting all machine and facility issues that may affect production with prioritization of the team’s activities. Successfully adhere to and model Brunswick’s Employee Value Proposition and Values (Innovative, Driven, Exceptional, Authentic, United). Display professionalism and represent the company as a leader in all communications and interactions with employees at all levels. Utilize tools such as CMMS systems and RCM methodology to complete daily tasks and plan preventive maintenance to minimize machine downtime. Ensure safety of the team and safety compliance, including PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, conducting safety audits, and correcting unsafe behaviors & conditions. Conduct incident investigation reports in partnership with EH&S. Lead continuous improvement efforts using tools such as Andon, spaghetti diagrams, line balancing, 5S, DMAIC, and root cause analysis. Identify roadblocks and barriers encountered by work teams; pull together and lead cross‑functional teams to address issues and execute needed actions. Drive accountability to policies and procedures; make discretionary decisions guided by policies, procedures, and the business plan. Manage performance issues; administer disciplinary actions and corrective actions; conduct performance evaluations for all employees. Resolve conflict within team and across teams; investigate routine personnel issues in partnership with HR. Manage timekeeping & absenteeism; update UKG/Kronos; sign off on timecards; ensure compliance with start/stop times, break times & mealtimes. Partner with leaders in upstream and downstream processes to achieve metrics; resolve production and quality issues. Required Qualifications Associate degree required. Minimum of 5–10 years of prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Must understand the IoT and its interaction with maintenance and manufacturing measurements. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong employee relations management experience. Ability to read and understand technical documentation related to machines and advanced machine technologies. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge in UKG/Kronos. Lean Six Sigma experience. Working Conditions Ability to work in an office and indoor industrial environment. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated annual base pay for this position is $73,600 – $106,200, which may vary based on qualifications, experience and business context. In addition to base pay, the role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
