Job Opportunity: Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician

Our organization is currently looking for a full-time, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible physician specializing in Family Practice or Internal Medicine to join our outpatient clinic located in Fairview, Oregon. This role will be designated as the Primary Care Clinical Practice Manager Physician. As part of the Portland VA Medical Center, you will deliver services within a comprehensive network of care facilities and outpatient clinics throughout Oregon.

The primary care provider will operate as an adept, independent care provider, managing patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. You will have access to cutting-edge medical technologies and advanced healthcare practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a panel of approximately 900 patients as part of a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), which includes a Primary Care Provider (PCP), Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Medical Support Assistant.
• Deliver comprehensive care for Veterans, addressing both acute and chronic health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain.
• Promote staff education and development initiatives, fostering a culture of professional growth and positive labor relations.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Possess a current, full, and unrestricted medical or surgical license to practice in the United States.
• Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine is required.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday, with minimal on-call responsibilities for abnormal lab results. There are no weekend or holiday shifts.
