Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Antioch, California
The registered nurse in the Emergency Room provides patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, supporting evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of individuals across a broad range of ages and acuity levels. Candidates must be prepared to work 3 twelve-hour shifts with alternating weekends, and are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week, with alternating weekends
• Required Qualifications: Current California RN license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); Neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics experience/comfort as applicable to the unit; previous charge experience is preferred; community hospital experience is required; travel experience is required; uploaded National Nursing Database (Nursys) within the last two weeks with a valid California state license; uploaded applicable certifications with valid expiration dates (AHA or ARC); two references obtained within the last year
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience
• Additional Information: The role supports emergency department responsibilities including assessment and management of patients presenting with conditions such as acute psychosis, arterial line management, continuous IV sedation/paralytics, intentional/accidental injury or overdose, respiratory failure support (including BiPAP/CPAP management), intubation, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, continuous monitoring (including care related to ICP monitoring), and interpretation of relevant diagnostic data (including arterial blood gases and dysrhythmia interpretation). Weekend coverage is required.
