Job Summary: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER), Antioch, CA
An Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides clinical care in an Emergency Room setting, supporting patients across a range of ages and presenting conditions. This role includes managing acute and critical situations, utilizing required certifications, and maintaining readiness for emergency interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights; 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week; 3 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends, with weekend coverage.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); current certification uploaded/validated with applicable expiration dates as required; two (2) years of experience; prior community healthcare facility experience required; two (2) references obtained within the last year; prior charge experience is preferred (if applicable).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience.
• Additional Information: Work-related responsibilities may include management of emergency medications and life-threatening conditions, respiratory and critical care support (including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients), vascular access and line management, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias, intubation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring, identifying and reporting neglect or abuse, and supporting patients with acute behavioral health needs, neuro-trauma, and other emergent presentations. Orientation hours: 24. Pre-approved time off: one. Holidays covered include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with holiday coverage beginning at 7:00 PM the night before the holiday and ending at 7:00 AM the day after the holiday (only one holiday per contract can be requested).
