ORLANDO TRAFFIC ENGINEER
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist and/or produce traffic analyses using current best practices with a focus on Vision Zero principles and the Safe System approach
- Assist and/or produce lighting, ITS, signing and pavement marking, and signal plans in accordance with FDOT standards
- Conduct field reviews
- Perform quality control reviews
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and colleagues
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Support marketing pursuits and business development efforts
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) registered in Florida
- At least 1 year of post-registration experience
- Familiarity with the current FDOT Manuals and traffic guidelines
- Excellent technical, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MicroStation and/or ORD
- Interest in mentoring junior staff
- Commitment to safety
