Make a difference for K-8th grade students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in a fulfilling contract opportunity near Kalamazoo, MI. This .8 role offers approximately 30 hours per week across four days, providing focused support for children’s communication needs from kindergarten through 8th grade. The position is available for an immediate start and continues through the end of the current school year, making it ideal for professionals eager to step into a meaningful educational setting without a long-term commitment.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current state licensure as an SLP.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based roles.
• Familiarity or experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is preferred.
• Comfort working with K-8 student populations.
• Ability to commit to a 4-day, 30-hour per week schedule through the end of the school year.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students requiring SLP services.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress.
• Document and report on student performance and service delivery.
• Provide direct therapy and consultative support, particularly for students using or being evaluated for AAC.
