Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for a 28-bed inpatient Observation Unit near the ED, including monitoring patient status and responding to changes in acuity.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, manage IV therapies, and implement patient care plans under established protocols.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (including ED staff and ancillary services) to optimize patient flow and safety.
- Document care, assessments, and interventions thoroughly in the electronic health record; ensure accurate and timely communication of changes in patient condition.
- Maintain competencies and be prepared to float to other areas of competency as needed; follow unit policies, safety guidelines, and holiday coverage expectations.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting with specialty experience in an observation/unit environment.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred.
- Ability to work the assigned night shift (12x4) and float to other areas of competency as needed.
- Ability to load all demographic information and badge photo as part of onboarding requirements.
