Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy
• Proof of current CPR certification
• Current driver's license
• Reliable transportation and insurance
• 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Perform non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, and modalities such as heat, light, cold, water, and electrical treatments.
• Document clients' status accurately and submit clinical paperwork on time.
• Coordinate and contribute to department educational meetings and in-services.
• Schedule clients and perform varied office tasks efficiently.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities.
• Accept clinical assignments that align with education and competence.
• Promote compliance with third-party payers through education and assistance.
• Assist in ensuring proper equipment maintenance and stock availability.
