Mortgage Operations Specialist / Post-Closing Specialist – onsite- Baltimore, Maryland

Are you detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of mortgage transactions?  Our client is  seeking a proactive and organized Mortgage Operations Specialist / Post-Closing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in finalizing loan files, ensuring compliance, and facilitating smooth transitions to secondary market buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track, review, and resolve post-closing exceptions to ensure loan files are complete and compliant.
• Contact title companies, attorneys, and external partners to obtain outstanding trailing documents, maintaining professional communication and strong relationships.
• Maintain meticulous logs of received trailing documents within Salesforce and organize all pertinent documents within the All Loans File (ALF) system.
• Properly save, categorize, and manage documents within the company’s loan filing system to ensure easy retrieval and audit readiness.
• Prepare and record assignments of mortgage, ensuring all legal and procedural requirements are met.
• Coordinate the delivery of loan packages and necessary documentation to custodians, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Upload loan information and documentation for secondary-market investors and warehouse lenders, adhering to all submission protocols.
• Conduct thorough reviews of files for completeness and compliance with both internal standards and external regulations.
• Collaborate closely with the Loan Processing team to resolve documentation discrepancies or compliance issues efficiently.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth workflows.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational workflows, increase accuracy, and reduce turnaround times.
• Leverage company-provided tools, including AI-assisted technologies, to enhance efficiency and communication.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, post-closing, title, loan servicing, banking operations, or related fields.
• Strong familiarity with mortgage and real estate documentation, including assignments, title reports, and lien perfection.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify missing or inaccurate information proactively.
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple files, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and clarity.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel; experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is preferred.
• Eagerness to learn new systems, tools, and AI-assisted processes to stay current with industry advancements.
