AIT offers a competitive compensation package (including free medical options for employees and their family), casual work environment and excellent growth opportunities.Summary:The Systems Administrator is responsible for local designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting the computer and phone network systems in accordance with AIT corporate policies.Duties and Responsibilities:Install and support LANs, WANs, IP phone, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.Install and maintain network hardware and software.Maintain individual machines, such as drivers and settings, configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security.Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.Create, verify, and manage Backup Data processes.Upgrade systems and processes as required by AIT Corporate for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.Must have the ability to solve technical and operation problems, showing a high level of customer service and project management skills.Respond to and resolve help desk requests.Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours when needed.Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter.Administrate infrastructure, databases, malware protection software and other processes.Possibility for work afterhours, holidays, and weekends to support company systems.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Work Experience:Degree in a related field preferred.DoD 8570 level I (or higher) security certification (examples: CCNA, CND, Cloud+, Security+ CE,); OR can obtain the certification within 6 months of start date.Minimum of five years of system administration experience, including current Windows Server versionsSystem administration and IT certifications Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco are a plusStrong knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalentWorking knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocolsExperience with scripting and automation toolsStrong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocolsWorking knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues.Coordinate and support third party IT vendor/supplier relationships.Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:This position requires a government security clearance.
