Interim Experienced Accounting Professional

We are seeking a hands‑on, operational Controller to join our finance leadership team. This is not a traditional back‑office Controller role—we need a builder who can design scalable processes, optimize financial systems, and integrate acquired entities in a fast‑growing, multi‑entity environment. You’ll report directly to the CFO and partner closely with executive leadership to position us for continued national expansion. Work Location: onsite as needed near Aberdeen Township, New Jersey Duration: 6+ months Pay Rate Range: $100/hr-$120/hr What you will work on Own financial accuracy & compliance: Manage multi-entity close processes, GAAP compliance, and internal controls. Lead system optimization: Act as in-house expert for ERP and expense/AP platforms, driving automation and AI-enabled efficiencies. Build scalable infrastructure: Implement processes that support organic growth and acquisitions. Partner with operations: Deliver actionable financial insights, support budgeting/forecasting, and build KPI dashboards. Support M&A: Assist with due diligence, onboarding, and financial integration. Lead & develop teams: Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. What you will bring Active CPA and Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance 10+ years progressive accounting/finance experience (5+ as Controller or similar) Strong background in accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience implementing automation or AI tools in finance Proven ability to scale accounting processes in a multi‑entity environment Strong leadership and executive communication skills Willingness to travel as needed (Utah and Georgia) Private equity‑backed or high‑growth healthcare experience, preferred Prior Big 4 or national audit firm experience, preferred Experience with acquisition integration, multi‑location operations, and distributed teams, preferred What you can expect An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
