Accounting Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager in Scottsdale, AZ. Summary: Our client is a fast-growing, mid-sized company who is private equity backed and enduring great growth both organically and through M&A activity. The Accounting Manager role is available due to the backfill from a promotion! The Accounting Manager will serve as a dedicated and motivated leader - leading a team of 2-3 in general accounting and be responsible for the day-to-day month end close process. This person should also have a passion for business/process/systems improvement. We would like to shorten the current month-end accounting close process (currently a 10-business day close). The Accounting Manager will also help lead the efforts to evaluate, propose, and implement a new Fixed Assets Management Software in 2027.

• CPA is required
• Strong technical exposure with a background in public accounting
• Good leadership skills and experience
• Previous manufacturing accounting experience (costing and supporting plant operations and accounting, etc.) is preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Possessing strong communication skills
• Desire a strong, driven, organized accounting professional who demonstrates great initiative, motivation, and accountability to work product

• Must possess a sense of urgency, great attention to detail, and have the ability to function within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Requires working extended hours as needed to support the monthly/yearly reporting deliverables; Typical hours are 40-45 hours per week and 50-55 hours during month-end close
