Shift: Night 12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)

Hours/Week: 36 hours/week

Employment Type: Contract

Licensure/Certs: BLS, ACLS (required); ONS Chemo Cert, NIHSS (preferred)

Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in acute care setting

What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with acute leukemia
• Monitor patients using telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Administer IV therapy, blood products, and manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines
• Use infection prevention protocols and focus on falls prevention strategies
• Collaborate with rapid response teams and maintain patient safety standards
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records
• Support newly diagnosed leukemia patients throughout treatment

What You Need

• Ohio RN license and BLS, ACLS certifications
• At least 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Skills in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, and line management

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Chemo Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with feeding tube care and dysrhythmia interpretation

About the Assignment This assignment is at a reputable facility specializing in hematology and oncology care with a dedicated focus on infection control and patient safety. The unit serves adult and geriatric populations, primarily treating newly diagnosed leukemia patients with a staffing ratio goal of 1:4, occasionally 1:5.
