Senior Cost Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $125,000 per year. Job Responsibilities Manage cost accounting activities, including inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting related to manufacturing operations. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month end close activities to ensure accurate financial records. Monitor inventory transactions, investigate discrepancies, and communicate significant variances or issues to management. Lead physical inventory processes, including planning, coordination, reporting, and reconciliation of inventory results. Partner with operations, tax, finance, and leadership teams to provide financial analysis, reporting, and decision making support. Requirements A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of accounting experience within a corporate or manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and general accounting principles. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting or ERP systems. Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and support month end, forecasting, and budgeting processes. Qualifications Previous experience with manufacturing operations, inventory management, and cost analysis. Familiarity with NetSuite or similar enterprise accounting systems. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
