Senior Cost Accountant

About the Role Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join their accounting and finance team. This individual will play a critical role in cost accounting, financial reporting, month-end close activities, and operational analysis across the business. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoy partnering with cross-functional teams, and have a strong foundation in cost accounting and financial analysis. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience Manufacturing accounting experience required 3+ years of cost accounting experience Strong Microsoft Excel skills Experience working with manufacturing ERP systems Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to work across departments Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Key Responsibilities Support month-end close and financial reporting processes Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and operational performance metrics Review job costing and investigate cost variances Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports Manage fixed asset accounting and monthly bank reconciliations Support accounts receivable activities, including billings, collections, and aging analysis Process credit applications and maintain customer account records Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting efforts Partner with operations, sales, and leadership teams to support business decisions Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, and internal audits Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations and reporting accuracy Why This Opportunity?
