Description:
The Radiology Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
They will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed and facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow.
The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and archives.
They will participate in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure.
The Technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management.
Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture.
Responsibilities include meeting expectations of applicable competencies, demonstrating adherence to core values, and maintaining professionalism.
They will promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement by collaborating with management, coworkers, and physicians.
Exceptional physician satisfaction will be promoted by providing meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians.
All duties will be performed in a manner that protects patient confidentiality, and no confidential information will be disclosed unless necessary.
The technologist will adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate each patient's unique needs.
They will ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of care as required by regulatory entities.
Examinations/procedures will be performed as needed to assist in patient throughput.
Flexibility is essential, including the ability to work other shifts as required.
The technologist will ensure completed exams are stored correctly in PACS and follow downtime procedures.
They will troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include graduating from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, with a year of hospital experience preferred.
Basic computer experience is required.
Licensing and registration as stated are mandatory.
