IS Senior Data Management LeadThe Wilmington Trust Institutional Services (IS) division is experiencing rapid business growth and has initiated a strategic program of continuous improvement to support the growth objectives. The goals of the program are to reduce operational issues and risks by standardizing processes, implementing best-practices in key areas, and adding new governance and control functions. In addition, long term digital transformation is required to grow revenue through new and transformed digital-first trust and agency service products, to move from a product-centric to client-centric operating model, to move from market-specific to global solutions, and to dramatically lower the cost to serve. These two strategic focus areas are driving growth in overall business investment.In alignment with IS's growing investment, we are seeking an IS Senior Data Management Lead candidate to be responsible for providing guidance to assigned business in implementing components of the Data Management Program in the areas of governance, quality, issue management, reporting, data architecture, solutions, analytics, or project management and in alignment with the overall Enterprise Data Management Program.Primary Responsibilities:Manage execution of the Data Management Strategy and development of the Data Management Framework, Policies and Standards for an assigned business.Implement the Data Management Program within assigned business unit, providing training to business line and technology personnel.Act as the Data Steward for the IS business.Facilitate data management-related working groups.Develop a thorough understanding of the data management practice and working knowledge of industry trends.Measure compliance with the business and Enterprise Data Management policy and standards.Work with the business to identify critical data elements and capture related metadata.Monitor quality of data through measurement of enterprise-wide key performance/key risk indicators (KPIs/KRIs) to ensure effective data risk management.Facilitate remediation of data management-related issues.Promote usage of business and enterprise data management and business intelligence tools by relevant stakeholders.Analyze large data sets to derive business insights to drive tangible business value.Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.Education and Experience Required:Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years' professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years' professional experience5 years Financial Services ExperienceStrong interpersonal skillsStrong persuasion skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical abilityCreative problem solving skillsStrong project management leadershipExperience coordinating cross-functional teams at various levelsSkilled proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, graphing, and presentations with a working knowledge of financial modelsStrong SQL programming knowledgeEducation and Experience Preferred:Master's DegreeMinimum of 10 year's professional experienceCorporate Trust ExperienceKnowledge of data management practices and/or Bank products, systems and workflowsKnowledge of process improvement methodology and business process management techniquesProficient in pertinent project and presentation softwareAdvanced SQL programming knowledgeExperience with AlteryxAI Experience and its use in DataM&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $123,600.00 - $206,000.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
