Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a sterile environment and assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of the surgical patient by performing routine and delegated duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Perform technical duties related to scrub personnel, ensuring precision and efficiency in all surgical settings.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely pre- and post-surgery.
• Maintain a sterile surgical room, implementing proper cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment and instruments.
• May be required to precept and mentor new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• MUST BE CERTIFIED as a Surgical Technologist.
• Must have travel experience and experience in orthopedics.
• Experience with scrubbing and operating the Davinci surgical system is required.
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must be available for weekend, call, and holiday shifts as needed.
• Arrive within half an hour of receiving a call for duty.
