Continually enhance designs using the latest design software and materials to deliver a highly engineered, cost competitive product of superior quality.Primary Job ResponsibilitiesSupervised interaction with customers (both internal and external) to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.Supervised interaction with vendors and service providers to understand technical requirements and resolve issues.Complete assigned design and technical development projects independently.Work on assigned tasks related to large scale engineering projects.Prepare technical drawings.Source new parts from vendors.Design components as needed.Design and quote in-scope engineered and standard designs.Provide support to purchasing, production, quality and logistics as directed.Perform other duties as directed by the Product Engineering Manager and/or the Lead Product Engineer.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringAssociate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years minimum industry or relevant engineering experience and actively seeking a Bachelor level degreeCertifications: Engineer-in-Training / Fundamentals of Engineering Project Management ProfessionalExperience: Pipe stress analysis and finite element analysis experienceExperience working with piping systems or pressure vesselsExperience with metal fabrication and manufacturingExperience with product testing and failure analysisSkillsMechanical and technical proficiency.Administrative computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office).Proficiency with 3-D CAD & modeling programs (e.g. Solidworks).Ability to read precision measuring devices.Good communication and decision making abilities.Analytical and problem solving abilities.Able to self-manage and self-motivate effectively.Recognize and promote high quality products and deliverables.Maintain a customer focus in all duties and directives.Possess adaptability and flexibility traits.Effective relationship management abilities.Strong technical and interpersonal communication.Strong business ethics and values.Aggressively maintains integrity and trustworthiness.Core CompetenciesAccountability/OwnershipAnalytical Ability/Problem Solving/Decision MakingCommunication SkillsComputer SkillsContinuous LearningCustomer ServiceInterpersonal/Relationship SkillsQualitySafetySense of Urgency/EntrepreneurialismTeam Effectiveness/CoachingTime Management/Planning/OrganizingValues/Trust/IntegrityGreat Mechanical and Technical AptitudeOther RequirementsWalk up to a ¼ mile at a time.Bend, squat and/or reach as needed.Must understand and speak English.Sitting, standing, walking, lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 lbs.Hose Master is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
