Senior Account Manager (Full time)

Towson, MD

Manage client processes accurately and timely, including RFP, Client Set-Up, and Closing Process. Complete compliance reviews accurately and timely. Communicate to clients consistently and pro-actively. Attend at least one training/seminar/workshop per quarter.

Responsibilities

Client Benefits Account Management role responsible for managing client relationships, renewals, benefits administration, compliance, and vendor coordination.

Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients and provide ongoing support.

Manage client setup, renewals, open enrollment, and client meetings.

Lead renewals by preparing RFPs, comparing proposals, and presenting recommendations.

Handle complex client service issues, including claims escalation.

Oversee Health & Welfare compliance and annual compliance reviews.

Coordinate employee communications, benefits portals, utilization reports, and data integrity.

Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations.

Advise clients on legislation, market trends, and benefits options.

Identify cross-selling and additional coverage opportunities.

Maintain industry knowledge through training, certifications, and continuing education.

Required: Life & Health insurance license..

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management, Business, or a related field.

Experience: 7–10 years of professional experience as an Account Manager or Client Service Representative in insurance or a related industry.

License: Active Life & Health Producer license required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business/technical requirements into practical solutions.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with clients, vendors, colleagues, and executives.

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and budgets in a fast-paced environment.

Work Style: Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position requires long hours and some weekend work.
