Registered Nurse (RN) - OR

Registered Nurse Operating Room

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 8-hour Days - Weekend, holiday, and call required

Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week

Current NYS RN license BLS certification required ACLS certification preferred Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate Knowledge in the use of clinical equipment associated with an OR setting

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care and assess patients' clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual needs.
• Recognize safety issues and implement proper patient handling techniques.
• Function effectively in stressful situations and utilize problem-solving skills.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team and may assume charge nurse responsibilities as required.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to emergency situations.

On-call required with a response time of 30 minutes. Weekend, holiday, and additional call coverage may be necessary.
