Software Engineer - MDM (Commercial & Investment Bank)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus at least 3 years of applied experience
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience with Java full-stack development and advanced SQL
• Expertise in Java, Python, JavaScript, React, Spring, and related software engineering platforms and frameworks
• Experience with AWS services and environments, including EC2, ASG, Lambda, EKS, RDS, and Code Deploy
• Experience developing APIs that use different back-end data stores, such as RDS, graph databases, and DynamoDB
• Experience building and using fully automated end-to-end CI/CD pipelines with frameworks such as Jules, Spinnaker, or Code Deploy
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, including critically evaluating and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; ability to guide peers in safe and effective practices
• General knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• Preferred: Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
• Preferred: Exposure to cloud technologies

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying creative approaches to build solutions and resolve technical problems
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with appropriate systems
• Design and build full-stack Java solutions for Commercial and Investment Bank use cases on AWS and private cloud
• Design and maintain master data models across multiple key domains
• Build scalable data ingestion and distribution pipelines, and develop APIs
• Develop end-to-end CI/CD machine learning pipelines to deploy knowledge graphs and associated processes
• Build infrastructure-as-code processes to create resilient, high-performing AWS environments
• Collaborate with the Commercial Bank Data Platform team to use existing data assets in the knowledge graph and develop additional assets
• Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity; validate their outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding practices, and share reusable patterns with the team
• Apply software development life cycle tools, including authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value of automation
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software development meets design constraints
