Senior Accountant

Responsibilities Kforce's client, a growing organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support key accounting operations, including month‑end close, financial reporting, and process optimization. This role offers strong visibility across the business and the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The position is hybrid, 4 days a week on‑site, 1 day remote. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial data to support journal entries and month‑end close activities Reconcile general ledger accounts using automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, ADRA, Flowcast) Calculate monthly servicing fees and record maintenance‑related adjustments Ensure revenue recognition compliance in line with accounting standards (ASC 606) Monitor and account for financial lease activity and related adjustments Support intercompany accounting and settlements across multiple entities Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reporting issues Perform variance analysis and month‑over‑month reporting using ERP and billing systems Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Assist with audits, financial analysis, and ad hoc projects Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required CPA or working toward certification preferred 3+ years of accounting or finance experience Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or BlackLine, ADRA, or Flowcast is a plus Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply accounting standards effectively Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data integration) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment High attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross‑functionally Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and within a team The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
