Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, utilizing standardized assessments and observational insights.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Implement engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure unified care approaches.
• Provide significant education and support to patients and their families to encourage progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless patient care throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional mandates.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in the field through ongoing education and collaborative learning with colleagues.

Educational Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Indiana.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of joining.
