Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups employing both standardized assessments and observational analysis.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions targeting areas like language, fluency, voice, and swallowing, ensuring individualized care for each patient.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to cultivate effective care strategies.
• Empower patients and families through education, giving them tools to support their progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Contribute to inpatient evaluations and interventions when necessary, guaranteeing a cohesive treatment journey for all patients.
• Keep meticulous and timely records that comply with all regulatory and organizational standards.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet obtained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days after starting.
