The Opportunity

We're looking for a sharp, intellectually driven Management Consultant who leads with rigorous thinking and communicates with clarity and conviction. This is a core role at the firm, demanding more than execution — we seek someone who can dissect complexity, construct airtight arguments, and translate them into stories that move people and organizations to act.

What You'll Do as a Management Consultant

Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving

• Apply hypothesis-driven, structured problem-solving to break down ambiguous, high-complexity challenges into clear, actionable paths forward
• Lead root cause analyses and gap assessments, stress-testing assumptions and synthesizing findings into crisp, defensible strategic recommendations
• Design and execute analytical frameworks to evaluate operational and strategic options, balancing quantitative rigor with qualitative insight
• Proactively surface project risks and emerging opportunities — diagnosing issues before they escalate and advising clients on the right course corrections

Critical Thinking & Strategic Judgment

• Challenge conventional thinking and push past surface-level observations to uncover the real drivers of a problem
• Evaluate competing hypotheses and conflicting data with intellectual honesty, drawing well-reasoned conclusions even under uncertainty
• Translate complex, evolving operational realities into coherent concepts of operations and pragmatic implementation roadmaps
• Support and own project delivery across workstreams — managing timelines, quality, and stakeholder communications with growing independence

Communication & Storytelling

• Develop compelling, audience-ready narratives — written and verbal — that translate rigorous analysis into clear recommendations for diverse stakeholders
• Contribute to client deliverables end-to-end: from supporting the analytical approach to helping craft polished, persuasive presentations that communicate the 'so what' with clarity
• Design and facilitate client workshops with precision — setting the agenda, leading stakeholder interviews, translating complex insights into clear recommendations, and converting outcomes into concrete workplans
• Contribute meaningfully to proposal development for new and existing client opportunities, helping shape the firm's point of view and commercial approach
• Create polished slides and supporting materials that communicate ideas with structure, clarity, and visual logic

Collaboration & Client Relationship Management

• Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, serving as a credible, day-to-day strategic partner
• Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard
• Stay current on aviation industry trends, tools, and methodologies — bringing informed perspectives that continuously add value to client engagements

What We're Looking For

Core Competencies (Required)

• Exceptional analytical skills — you break down complex problems using structured frameworks, synthesize data into clear findings, and build recommendations that are rigorous and defensible
• Strong critical thinking — you question assumptions, challenge conventional wisdom, and know how to stress-test an argument before it reaches the client
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings to diverse audiences with clarity and confidence
• Strong storytelling instincts — you know how to sequence an argument for maximum impact and make complex ideas land simply without losing substance
• High integrity, humility, and a genuine commitment to doing the right thing — you earn trust through your character as much as your capabilities
• 3+ years of experience in consulting, with a track record of contributing to analytical work and client-facing deliverables
• A Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Familiarity with data analysis and project management tools is a plus
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong desire to learn new domains, technologies, and organizational contexts
• A sense of ownership, attention to detail, and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without sacrificing quality
• Current residence in the Chicago area with legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Willingness to travel
