Job Description:

This person will be responsible for buying material for a fast paced, growing

company, will help maintain inventory, work across departments for purchasing needs, and fill a key

role in the overall operation and success of the company.

Duties:

· Responsible for the purchase of inventory and non-inventory items to meet business demands.

· Foster a growing relationship with current and prospective suppliers.

· Maintain inventory levels to achieve appropriate fill rate and inventory on hand.

· Able to review and adjust reorder quantities based on historical and forecasted data.

· Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers when needed.

· Expedite product to meet schedules and prevent or reduce down time for customers.

· Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies or product issues.

· Compile and review data to evaluate supplier performance and product trends.

· Work with Mgmt. to establish best practices and processes for Purchasing and Material Control.

· Able to work in a high demand and fast-paced environment.

· Assist with freight carrier needs and relationships.

· Able to work across departments.

· Provide support for evolving business and operational needs.

Skills/Qualifications:

· Purchasing and Material Control experience required.

· College degree preferred or related experience.

· Strong ERP background and experience.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
