Manager, Supply Chain (Global Trade Compliance)- USA & Canada

Gilead Sciences seeks a Global Trade Compliance Manager to oversee export and import compliance operations for the US and Canada, with responsibility for managing customs broker relationships, regulatory compliance programs, and providing regional guidance. The role requires extensive expertise in international trade regulations, customs procedures, and pharmaceutical industry compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily export and import compliance operations, tasks, and projects for US and Canada
- Manage customs brokers and facilitate timely customs clearance processes
- Develop and maintain compliance programs, policies, procedures, and controls aligned with regulations
- Assign HTS classifications, ECCN codes, and country of origin determinations for transactions
- Monitor KPIs and recommend process improvements and cost reduction opportunities to leadership
Requirements
- 10+ years international trade compliance or supply chain management experience with high school diploma
- 8+ years related experience with associate degree
- 6+ years related experience with bachelor's degree
- 4+ years related experience with master's degree
- Expert knowledge of EAR, OFAC, BIS, HTS, customs valuation, and denied party screening
- Preferred: Customs Broker License and FDA or pharmaceutical industry regulatory agency experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to influence without direct authority
Compensation: $136,340.00 - $176,440.00 base
