Labor & Employment Associate

Overview Must be licensed to practice law in the state where the office resides in addition to the State of California. Experience in defending against single plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reasonable accommodation, is required. Experience managing PAGA matters is required, with preferred experience in managing class and representative actions. Ability to independently manage day-to-day case responsibilities while effectively collaborating with partners, associates, and clients. Required litigation experience includes drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery, drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and conducting and defending plaintiff and corporate witness depositions. Experience managing matters through all phases of litigation, including fact discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation, is necessary. Preferred experience includes providing employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations. Trial experience is considered a plus but is not required. The firm generally expects attorneys to work in the office an average of three days a week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
